Sarah Jones (she/her) is GMF's inaugural senior manager for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Based in Washington, DC, she is responsible for the organization's internal and external DEI portfolio.

Jones works with the human resources and leadership teams to ensure equitable policies are in place, inclusive practices are encouraged at all levels, and workforce diversity is the outcome of equity efforts. She also works alongside GMF's leadership programs to administer the Transatlantic Inclusion Leadership Network, the Inclusive Leadership Summit, and the Marshall Memorial Fellowship. Through these fellowships, she advises programmatic staff on inclusive practices, engages fellows in inclusive leadership development, and ensures DEI is embedded throughout the fellowships.

Jones is an engaging and intentional DEI facilitator, trainer, and executive coach who leads with empathy, authenticity, and vulnerability to aid GMF’s policies as they embrace equity and inclusion. She is a member of Black Professionals in International Affairs, Global Access Pipeline, Think Tank DC Consortium, and Berlin-based #teamDiversity.
