Miguel Vieira joins German Marshall Fund of the United States
Washington, DC (November 3, 2025) – The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) is delighted to announce that Miguel Vieira joins the organization today as the vice president for resource development.
Miguel comes to GMF with 15 years of experience in philanthropy and strategic partnerships at leading institutions including American University, the Aspen Institute, and the Brookings Institution, where he led the development team in the Foreign Policy program. He most recently served as senior director of strategic philanthropy at the World Wildlife Fund, where he worked with major donors to secure lasting conservation efforts in Colombia, Namibia, Nepal, and the US Great Plains.
He holds a master’s degree in international affairs from American University and a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Rutgers University.
