About this event

Electoral processes in the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries face a growing set of interconnected challenges. These include illicit financing, coordinated disinformation campaigns, foreign information manipulation and interference, hybrid interference, and deep domestic polarization. Electoral risks are also shaped by institutional vulnerabilities, governance shortcomings, and broader political instability, all of which influence how societies engage with democratic processes. Strengthening resilience consequently requires addressing structural weaknesses and the human dimension, including the ways citizens and institutions restore trust and respond to political uncertainty.

This webinar brings together civil society experts from across the EaP region to examine the evolving architecture of electoral risks. The discussion will compare national political environments, legal frameworks, security conditions, and media ecosystems, highlighting shared challenges and country-specific dynamics. Speakers will explore how institutional reforms can reinforce electoral safeguards, how international partners can support election integrity, and the impact of election results on regional stability.
