What are the leading developments that will shape Atlantic geopolitics and geo-economics over the coming years, and how could they reshape transatlantic relations more broadly? Several elements underscore the need for a fresh look at the Atlantic as a strategic space.

Launched in 2015 as part of GMF’s work in the wider Atlantic, the Atlantic Strategy Group is an annual meeting that includes roughly 30 participants from North America, Europe, Latin America, and Africa. The event addresses issues of shared interest for Atlantic actors while offering a timely and valuable forum in which leading stakeholders from all sides of the Atlantic Basin can examine areas for greater collaboration.

The ASG is organized by the German Marshall Fund of the United States in partnership with the Policy Center for the New South and the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD.)
