Lesson from the Mediterranean Strategy Group: What the EU Should Do Better to Counter Terrorism

Counterterrorism in relation to threats coming from Europe’s southern periphery is central to the EU’s global strategy review. In light of the inadequate responses to recent terrorist attacks in Paris and Brussels, it is clear that current practices should be changed. At GMF’s 13th Mediterranean Strategy Group in Naples, Nathalie Tocci, special adviser to EU HRVP Federica Mogherini, explains what we can expect from the global strategy review and what the EU should do better to counter terrorism.
