Dear GMF Alumni and Partners,
In times of uncertainty and tension, community serves as the antidote to despair and inaction. In times like these, the GMF alumni network matters. Your connection to each other and your engagement with GMF link you to the shifting landscape of the transatlantic relationship. This is why GMF Leadership Programs continues to invest in its alumni network—to bring you closer to GMF's policy portfolios, to showcase the rich subject matter expertise across the alumni network, and to work consistently to build opportunities to gather the alumni network in person for continued networking, learning, and transatlantic impact.
I write you today to launch our 2027 Alumni Leadership Council (ALC) campaign. The council is GMF’s premier alumni engagement initiative, designed to connect, empower, and celebrate its 4,000-strong network of transatlantic leaders. Through annual membership at various levels, ALC members gain access to exclusive events, policy briefings, networking opportunities, and the chance to shape the future of GMF’s leadership programs.

If you have been one of the many alumni asking what you can do to help support GMF and the transatlantic partnership at this time of uncertainty, this is your call to action. The ALC builds on a proud tradition of alumni giving back to the fellowship programs that shaped their leadership journeys. All funds collected through the ALC will support current fellowship programs and expanded alumni engagement efforts. GMF is working toward expanding alumni-led initiatives, such as grants and projects, but this relaunch focuses on reconnecting the network through meaningful engagement, virtually and in person.

Ambassador Membership Benefits
The leaders who shaped GMF’s alumni network were themselves once the next generation: rising fellows and emerging voices whose transatlantic relationships just beginning to take root. Ambassador Members honor that journey by stepping forward not just as donors, but as living proof of what the network makes possible. By investing at this level, they champion the next cohort of Marshall Memorial Fellows and Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders, fund local and regional gatherings that build lasting community, and help ensure that the Marshall Seminar remains the moment when the multi-generational transatlantic alumni community comes together. To give at this level acknowledges that GMF changed the trajectory of your leadership journey, and that you are committed to ensuring the next generation has that same opportunity.
All Platinum membership benefits plus:
-
Champion an emerging transatlantic leader with scholarship support for a 2027 Marshall Memorial fellow
-
Advance inclusive leadership across the Atlantic through scholarship support for a 2027 Transatlantic Inclusion Leaders Network fellow
-
Recognition as an alumni sponsor of the 2027 Marshall Seminar in France
