Alexandra Pugh is a Washington, DC-based senior program coordinator with GMF Global Power Shifts. Her work centers on emerging technology and transatlantic relations in a shifting global order, with a focus on defense technology ecosystems and capabilities.
Pugh previously held positions with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Center for European Policy Analysis, and the George W. Bush Institute. She has also worked with GMF’s Technology program, where she researched and wrote on AI, quantum, and telecommunications policy and innovation in the United States, Europe, and the Indo-Pacific.
Pugh graduated summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University with bachelor’s degrees in political science and music.
