The Arctic is a critical arena for geostrategic and geo-economic competition. As Russia and China expand their presence and posture, cooperation between the United States and its Arctic allies is vital to securing a strategic and competitive advantage. Melting sea ice and thawing permafrost are transforming the region, increasing opportunities and risks.

GMF is convening a series of high-level, hybrid strategic dialogues to determine the optimal ways in which the United States and its allies can maximize economic opportunity and advance their security interests in the Arctic. The dialogues will bring together officials, experts, and private-sector representatives from the United States, Canada, Europe, and other critical partner countries for tailored and solution-oriented discussions on pressing geostrategic issues affecting the Arctic.

The dialogues will lead to actionable policy recommendations for filling defense and situational awareness gaps, advancing economic opportunity, securing US and allied civilian and defense supply chains, and mitigating vulnerabilities.

GMF experts are available to media representatives and for engagements delving into the nexus of Arctic security and geo-economics.
