Global Power Shifts

To meet the opportunities and challenges presented by a changing global landscape, the transatlantic partnership must adopt bold new ideas and take deliberate action. This GMF pillar analyzes the impact of global power shifts on the transatlantic partnership; develops targeted strategies that enable the United States and Europe to navigate those shifts; and forges closer links among the United States, Europe, and third partners in the Indo-Pacific, Middle East, and other regions. Core offerings include quick-reaction analyses, original research, strategic convenings, scenario exercises, leadership development programs, and on-the-ground partnerships. The Global Power Shifts pillar also integrates and elevates the expertise and work of GMF’s Indo-Pacific, South and Wider Europe, and Strategic Foresight teams while anchoring cross-cutting initiatives.
